Program Description:

The Power and Benefits of a Creative Image Series

Rick Hulbert’s presentation is designed as a learning experience to be enjoyed by all photographers, regardless of one’s level of experience and expertise.
Included among Rick’s past series of Photography Workshops is his now critically acclaimed multi-week Virtual Fine Art experience.
The culmination of that exclusive workshop allows for each of the participants to prepare a photographic image series and artist statement appropriate for art gallery submissions.
The Creative Process will be discussed along with the specific benefits
of preparing an image series by showing examples of Rick’s own
photography, along with example galleries from his past workshop
attendees.

Questions are encouraged throughout the presentation and at the end.


Rick Hulbert’s photography is informed from his background as an international award winning Professional Architect, Urban Designer, and Musician.

He is a "Life Member" of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and a “Fellow"; of The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada.

Rick has been a teacher of photography at Simon Fraser University, Langara College, and the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Over the past 12 years, he has led multi-day photo-workshops throughout Europe and North America. Recently, he has been presenting workshops, via the Zoom platform, to Camera and Photo Clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada.

His teachings reflect his knowledge of the History of the 2-Dimensional Arts of Drawing and Painting along with the Sciences of Human Vision.

Rick was one of only 2 photographers from North America invited to attend and display his Fine Art images at the World Art Games held in Bratislava, Slovakia.
